Brief history and mission statement.
Perigon Limited was founded in 2019 by Dr. George Mwaniki and Mr. Zeph Kivungi, two visionary leaders with a good understanding of the complexities of climate finance in Africa. Their journey began while mobilizing climate finance for African governments, an endeavour that took them to more than 28 countries across the continent. During their travels, they observed a significant disparity between the enormous needs of these countries and the availability of opportunities. They noted that where opportunities were most abundant, the needs were also the greatest.
Dr. Mwaniki and Mr. Kivungi realized that by bridging the gap between available capital and viable projects, they could catalyse substantial economic, environmental, and social impact. Thus, Perigon Limited was established with a purpose of developing investment-ready projects and connecting them to finances or ready and willing investors.
